VAN GOGH: THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

The Old Stable Yard of The Old Truman Brewery has been transformed into 17,000sq ft of pure magic. Immerse yourself in over 200 of Van Gogh’s works, brought to life through 360 projections, VR and sound effects.

This exhibition allows for interpretation through an alternative medium. With the originals dotted around the world, it’s a unique opportunity to connect our senses and experience the full timeline of Van Gogh’s works. From the vases to sunflowers, the exhibition also highlights his inspiration from Japanese “Ukiyo-e” and allows the opportunity to create your own masterpiece.

Naturally, it also beckons the questions: what would Van Gogh himself think of this? As these immersive experiences tour around the globe, it’s clear that there is something addictive about the interplay of digital vs physical. By converting oil on canvas to screens, the process is the exact opposite of our modern day addiction to Polaroids. And yet, scaled up and re-envisioned, it’s the difference (with just the right familiarity) that makes it suitable for our present generation and fit for our perception. To re-visit, with a different point of view.

Book your #VanGoghImmersiveExperience! Many tickets still available for evenings and mornings.
