CHANEL FACTORY 5

Celebrating 100 years of N° 5, CHANEL debuted its limited-edition FACTORY 5 COLLECTION. With 17 new products, ranging from body oils to baths soaks, discover the full selection of products online or at a pop-up near you.

The factory concept is a fitting metaphor to transform the timeless perfume bottle to full range of products. Visiting The Corner Shop at Selfridges, you’d find supersized everyday objects, like tea tins (of bath bombs), paint cans (of shower gels) and laboratory bottles (of bath oil), adorned by the Chanel logo. At one end, you’d find production lines rotating the collectors’ editions on a mechanical conveyor belts. It’s also an educational experience: with Chanel experts at workstations and the factory store to showcase the factory’s playful demonstrations (how about a robot that brushes your nails with a duster?)

“It’s all about the experience these products give you,” says Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Chanel’s Head of Global Creative Resources Fragrance and Beauty.

CHANEL FACTORY 5 carries many symbolizations; apart from offering the experience of luxury in everyday life, it also symbolizes the first packaging of N°5, which was a simple laboratory bottle. Moreover, it’s a celebration of the eternal youthfulness of the N°5 spirit.
